SKILLSWISE is the most useful website for adult literacy. It is divided into two main sections: Words and Numbers. Each area has a fact sheet, interactive game, quiz, printable exercises. In the Words section there is information on grammar, spelling, reading, listening, writing, and vocabulary. The Vocabulary section also has useful word lists for various occupations – e.g. retail; aged care; hospitality. The Numeracy section has information on whole numbers; measures, shape & space; fractions, % and decimals; handling data.

Palm Beach County Library, USA, website with free tutorial on using a computer mouse. There is a little American content but it is excellent. Once they have successfully completed the tutorial the user can print out a certificate with their name on it.

This is a good site for people who are just beginning to use computers.

This is an excellent pictorial site which teaches you how to use many programs including Word, Publisher, Excel and Powerpoint. If you prefer to you can learn Open Office software. It was created for people with learning difficulties so the approach is user-friendly.
