Learning can happen in many situations, yet the best way to learn is by applying knowledge from experiences and learning from others. 

Different Ways of learning
What type of learner are you  -   Visual, Auditory, Tactile
  • Visual Learners  -   like watching, viewing, like diagrams, maps, colourful pictures. 
  • Tactile Learners - like role playing, flash cards and memory games, like music or background noise, can't sit still for long, like hands on
  • Auditory Learners -  like reading information, like songs, poems or rap, like to read out loud, like instructions read to them

All learners gain skills from Active Learning !  Active Learning is learning using activities, interactive discussion, problem solving, experiences and supports understanding and retention of skills.

Learning Diversity and Cultural Competency -  Respect and Understanding for others
All people are unique! Each person has their own way of thinking, their own attitudes, beliefs and values.  They may also have other unique elements, such as their abilities (they may or may not be able to do certain things).  A person can also be unique due to their cultural background or upbringing.  Being unique makes us who we are!  Embracing this about ourselves and others is a skill we Learn!   Let's learn about Diversity!

Rather than wanting to be like others, what could we learn from others!
Why is it important to respect and learn about other cultures.
